KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister Zulfiqar Mirza on Sunday announced his resignation from the government during an emotional press briefing at the Karachi press Club.Mirza announced his resignation from the Sindh Assembly, his post as Sindh senior minister and as senior vice-president of the Pakistan People Party (PPP). He added that his earlier ministry post had been changed to Sindh senior minister due to political blackmail.Deploring conditions in Karachi, Mirza said that he would have brought peace to Karachi within 15 days if he had been given a free hand.Mirza said after his resignation he would work on his own to deliver justice to the people of Karachi and Sindh.He affirmed on oath to remain a die-hard supporter of the PPP and President Asif Ali Zardari, and thanked Benazir Bhutto and Zardari for their favours bestowed upon him
